for neko sora lovers

You sighed as you walked home. It was pouring out, but you didn't really care. As you got to your house, you noticed something moving. "is anyone there?" you called. You didn't get a response. You thought you just imagined it, and opened the door. then you heard the noise again. "this better not be a joke or anything" you mumbled. You scanned around the house, before finding the source of the noise.
A kid with really spikey brown hair was hiding under a tree, trying to not get wet. What amazed you was that he had cat ears and a tail. A neko? You only heard of those, you didn't really expect that they were actually real. "hey, what are you doing?" you asked. The neko cowered behind the tree at the sound of your voice. You walked over and kneeled. "what are you doing out here? Do you have anywhere to stay?" you asked him softly. The neko shook his head, and you noticed he was shivering.
"at least you can spend the night here, instead of being out here all night". You led the timid neko into your house. You grabbed a towel for him and started to dry his hair. You had to admit, this neko was cute. What caught you off guard was his eyes, which were crystal blue, and sparkled. Suddenly, there was a flash of lightning, and a clap of thunder that sent the neko running. "hey, it's only thunder and lightning" you said. You wandered around the house, searching for the neko. Eventually you found him huddled under the table.
"thunder and lighting aren't going to hurt you" you said, trying to coax him out from under the table. You wondered if he had a name, and where he came from. "do you have a name?" he nodded.
"it's Sora" he whispered. His voice was quiet and soft. Eventually he came out from under the table, and the two of you sat on the couch.  Sora looked around, ears twitching. He was still skidish. What happened next was something that you didn't expect. You weren't paying too much attention, when Sora sat in your lap. You looked up, surprised. Then, he kissed you. You froze for a minute, before kissing him back. You could hear Sora faintly purring.
"that's for letting me stay here tonight" he said when you broke the kiss. You smiled and scratched behind his ears, making him purr even more. As the storm passed by, the two of you fell asleep on the couch together.
